A RISK-TAKER

Aside from Jenny’s unquestionable talent, she is a special warm-hearted young woman with that beautiful smile, and a positive spirit that’s contagious and so much fun to be around.
— Edward Allan Baker, playwright; 'North of Providence,' 'Dolores,' 'Sonny Under the Assumption'

What sets Jenny apart is that she's a risk-taker down to her core.

She started acting at a very early age and would put on plays alongside her twin brother Andy. This constant need to express herself and understand the world around her followed Jenny through high school and into college at Elon University where she was cast as the lead role in several musicals and plays-- portraying comedic characters such as Mayzie LaBird in Seussical, as well as dramatic roles like Lidian Emerson in The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail.

Jenny has a strong drive to immerse herself in new experiences. At the age of 17 she lived with a family on a tobacco farm in the Dominican Republic while teaching summer camp to kids. She was hooked on traveling and, in college, studied abroad twice— in Costa Rica and Argentina— living with local families each time. Graduating with honors from Elon University, Jenny decided to pick up and move to Spain where she started a successful pub-crawl and tapas-tour business for almost two years leading hundreds of tourists at a time through the streets of Madrid.

Moving back to the states, in 2012, Jenny was accepted into the prestigious The Neighborhood Playhouse where Sanford Meisner taught his technique for 50 years.

Upon graduation, she was hand-selected to be an original cast member of renowned playwright Edward Allan Baker's (North of Providence, Dolores) new play, Sonny Under the Assumption. After a successful first run in New York, the cast revived the show in Toronto, Canada at the Aki Theatre in 2016. Critics claimed "Jenny Statler captivates in the role of the brash Blake Osborn, whose penchant for being loud and the center of the attention masks the life of a lonely woman" -Riveting Riffs Magazine

Since then she has completed Improv training at Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC and was cast as 'God' in the NYC Fringe Festival Show, God is a Womanat The Robert Moss Theatre. Statler has also started directing shows including The Good Death for the Capitol Fringe Festival in Washington, DC. which has since gone on to become a short film. Critics claim, “The play, cleverly directed by Jenny Statler, moves us to consider what we would do in their shoes: and to the show’s credit, our allegiance, too, shifts back and forth.” -DC Metro Theater Arts . Right before COVID struck, she directed and acted in Post-Coitus Confessions , a selection in NYC’s Winterfest .

Most recently, Jenny has started a successful career in the voiceover world and quickly gained representation first by DBA Buchwald and then, ultimately, by Innovative Artists Talent And Literary Agency. She is the featured voice in numerous national commercials for well-known companies and campaigns, including: IKEA, Walmart, Sensodyne, Fererro Rocher, Michelin, Downy, Milk, Bristol Myers Squibb, MTA, The American Nursing Association and more.

During the pandemic she moved to her family’s farm in Front Royal, VA and started growing grapes on the property— subsequently co-forming Tilt Vineyards. She has recently moved back to New York and resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where she continues to take acting and improv classes while seeking legit representation to fuel her main passion for acting and embodying rich, complex characters.
